Thinking outside the box
Efficiency, productivity, cost effectiveness and solutions built on a strong foundation with an open structure...
MBI Solutions

The nine dots exercise has become a popular way of illustrating that assumptions and set expectations often limit our ability to see solutions. In this excercise, the objective is to connect the nine dots with four straight lines - without lifting the pen off the page. Since the dots appear at first glance to be a square, our assumption is that we must make our solution conform to the shape of a square. But, in order to solve the problem, we must see beyond conventional awarenessε

Over the past few years, many have tried to complete this excercise using only three lines. Some have even drawn one wide line over all nine dots. Using these methodologies often points to cutting corners and/or covering potential problems.

Efficiency, productivity, cost effectiveness and solutions built on a strong foundation with an open structure - allowing for growth and flexibility. . . this is Mangel Business Intelligence.
